Experiencing Panagbenga

Through the years, the Panagbenga festival has steadily become the best avenue where Baguio people can shine and innovate what best depicts their community – with everyone co-owning the festival . The term is of Malayo-Polynesian origin, meaning "season of blooming". The festival, held during the month of February, was created as a tribute to the city's flowers and as a way to rise up from the devastation of the 1990 Luzon earthquake”.


More than that, we have witness a season when the City of Baguio transforms itself from a mere window to Cordilleras, to a vibrant seat of rich ethnic landscape.

Before our dress down day, I decided to wear something childish yet flirty today. This is so one of my ideal spring look! Girly pink lace under tulle skirt, sexy ankle boots plus cute pink socks... Of course, the outfit wouldn't be complete without me adding elements of pretty little things like this feather earrings from matchstiques and my pony brown clutch! See, I enjoyed working as well as fashion!

Competition can be friendly and fun as opposed to back-stabbing and cruel. You do not have to deceive others for your light to shine. We all have different talents and abilities, in which makes us unique as woman. So why are you trying to be like the woman that you are competing against? it is because you envy her. I would like to remind all the girls out there to imboost you're self esteem as well as your confidence. 

Always remember that you are beautiful no matter what you wear it's just you have to be confident on how you wear those beautiful clothes of yours.   

Post Valentines Trip to Lipa

 Aside from being a religious and heritage destination, Lipa is blessed with breathtaking places to see. It is home to different lush eco-tourism delights such as the Bluroze Farms Parks and Wildlife. As a post Valentines Celebration me and my boyfriend along with my friends ended up going to Bluroze Farm - a 10 minutes away from city. Riding a tricycle, you’ll find a very relaxing nature and wildlife park that is full of surprises. Deep in the heart of the mountains, you’ll find a place where you can find interesting animals roaming around, log cabins to get cozy with your hubby, large grounds for camping and team building, a cafeteria with yummy food, and whole lot more! 


Here are, for me, some of interesting features of the farm;


THE VIEW DECK – The challenge is to climb an old water tank that is about 100 meters high. On the ground, it seemed to be an easy climb, but when you’re almost on top, you’ll feel your knees cringing when u hear the wind bugging u. But the climb is worth it, because you’ll see a great view of the farm, the city, and the mountains. I will give you a taste of how it looks like when you are at the top. But remember, the thrill of going up the spiral staircase adds up to the appreciation of the view.

THE MAZE – Bluroze has placed a large maze within the farm. Better bring someone with you who has a good memory when you attempt to go through the viny maze coz it’s really quite confusing, and right before the maze ends, you’ll still have to cross a hanging bridge. However, a splendid view awaits you at the middle of this maze, I’d rather not squeal how it looks like here. Just see it for yourself.

THE ANIMALS - Although Bluroze is a wildlife and nature park that featured animals I usually see in zoos or farms like alligators, monkey eating eagle, ostrich,  ducks, sheep, really fat chickens, monkeys, small kangaroos, etc.,  their collection of aviary animals were pretty impressive. 

Imagine yourself in a place with beautiful view, sorrounded with trees, flowers and the sky is just superb. the air breeze is so fresh you can smell the touch of the air in the trees. It's a nice place to go to, so please come and see for yourself!

Shoes are there for two purposes—to make a statement and to pull-together an entire outfit. On a side note, don’t neglect comfort for style. Korean pop idols love their fashion, but they also like to perform and walk with relative ease. A truly perfect shoe is a comfy shoe.

Homemade Hair Treatment

A deep conditioning treatment is excellent for dry hair. Use a treatment once a month, once a week, or more frequently if necessary. Here are a couple of great deep conditioning recipes.

To strengthen your hair, use mayonnaise. You can make your own with fresh ingredients or use it out of the jar. Apply it to wet hair and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly, shampoo if necessary. The egg in the mayonnaise replaces lost protein in your hair. You can also try mixing an egg with moisturizing ingredients such as honey and oil.


Give your regular conditioner a boost. Mix together 1/2 cup of conditioner with 1/4 cut honey, 1/4 cup aloe vera gel, and 2 tablespoons olive oil. Apply it to wet hair and cover all your hair with a shower cap. Wrap your head in a warm towel and let it sit for 15 to 30 minutes or longer. Rinse thoroughly, and style as usual.

I almost died when my Mama gave this shorts. Leopard PRINT shorts?? Come on. I chose to wear this amazing piece on a normal day, since I was away for quite a long time due to I had undergone in a throat surgery. All it takes is a pretty outfit to get your spirits up and make you feel fresh again! To sweeten up this would-have-been-edgy look, I paired it with muted neutrals like this brown booties, which also made me feel so cozy while I am recuperating!
